Miracle on an English Highway

At around noon local time on May 26 in Staffordshire, England, a semi truck (which the Brits call lorries) smashed into a vehicle in front of it. The accident happened northbound on highway M6. At the moment of impact, both the truck and the vehicle it crushed burst into flames.

Despite both the crash and subsequent fire being so severe that both vehicles were destroyed, the drivers of both vehicles miraculously escaped with no injuries. It took four crews of firefighters to put out the flames and all lanes of the highway were shut down until the situation was brought under control. Undoubtedly, God was looking out for all the people involved even in the midst of someone’s carelessness–a display of the Lord’s great mercy. I imagine that there is some thankfulness and rejoicing going on among family members who were able to see their loved ones again unharmed.

It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22
