19-Year-Old Memphis Woman Miraculously Survives Plunge Off Bridge

“The ambulance workers were joking, like, ‘Are you a wrestler or something?’ And I was like no, I’m just a normal girl who God has in his hands,” says 19-year-old nursing student Jordyn Crawford to a local news station in Memphis, Tennessee. The EMTs were expressing their shock that Crawford walked away without a scratch after a driver ploughed into Crawford’s vehicle, causing her to flip through guardrails, plunge off the side of the bridge they were on, and land (tires down) 30 to 40 feet below the bridge.

The accident happened on the afternoon of Tuesday, February 4. The reckless driver is at-large and also clipped another vehicle, according to witnesses. One of the witnesses, Donte Everhart, videorecorded the aftermath of the crash. In his video, other drivers stopped to look over the edge of the bridge to see Crawford standing by her vehicle after the crash as she talks to police officers, then later walks over to be examined by paramedics. Everhart and several other observers can be seen and heard in his video giving glory to God for Crawford’s survival, whose identity they didn’t know at the time.

Everhart, with the help of WREG channel 3 news in Memphis, tracked down Crawford and stopped by her house to give her encouragement from the Lord and a financial gift. Crawford told WREG that she forgives the woman who hit her.

Yes, God still does miracles in our time to show he’s still around and is lovingly involved in the lives of humans every day.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him. Psalm 37
