After a rise in homicides leaves the town of Opp, Alabama, with its population of 6500 in disbelief, the police department posted a message on it’s Facebook page that came across loud and clear in all caps:
“THESE MURDERS HAVE BEEN DONE BY OUR YOUNG PEOPLE. THIS IS HAPPENING BECAUSE WE HAVE TURNED AWAY FROM GOD AND EMBRACED SATAN. WE MAY HAVE NOT MEANT TO DO SO BUT, WE HAVE. IT IS TIME TO ASK FOR GOD’S HELP TO STOP THIS…”
Since they don’t have anything constructive to do with their time, the bully atheists known as the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) decided to weigh in on the matter from their ivory tower in Wisconsin. Attorney Sam Grover, an attorney with the organization stated, “The department has very directly endorsed one religious ideology to the exclusion of minority religions and atheism, and decried Satanism. Neither message is permissible,” implying that it’s “illegal for a government entity to endorse or criticize religious belief.” That’s what he, as a socialist, would have us believe.
What the lying atheists will never admit publicly is that there is plenty of legal precedent backing the religious expression of police officers. That’s why the FFRF took no legal action against the Crandall, Texas, police department earlier this year when their video lip-syncing the Christian hit “God’s Not Dead” went viral. It’s also why the Beaumont, Texas, city officials dropped efforts to ban a Bible study by police officers in a public building in 2015.
I’m thankful to God that the police officers in Alabama recognize the real source of their problems is spiritual and, therefore, can recognize what the true remedy for the problems really is–repentance from sin and a relationship with God. Honest students of history and Christians who study history know that atheism and Satanism (which spring from the same spiritual sources–human sin, the world, and Satan) have been behind many of the world’s problems, especially when it comes to the taking of human life. The FFRF’s defense of atheism and Satanism reveals where their hearts really are and, spiritually speaking, it’s not a good place for anyone to be.
