Vegan activists attempt to shame Aussie meat-eaters

Vegan animal activists from a group in Australia named Anonymous for the Voiceless in recent months have been going to popular grocery stores in Australia to place stickers on meat products in an attempt to shame meat-eaters. The creator of the stickers, a guy named Kaj McBeth, denies being the one who illegally put the stickers on the meat products but freely gives them to whoever requests them. However, he considers people eating meat as a greater risk than illegally placing his stickers on the products.

The stickers have such slogans as “How can you be an animal lover and eat dead animals” and “Meat consumption causes heart disease.” The stores that were targeted called the police to report the incidents but thus far no official suspects have been identified and no arrests made.

This type of activism has its foundation in the socialist mindset of desiring to control every single aspect of individuals’ lives by force. Some of the vegan animal rights activism can be traced back to the novel “The Jungle” by Upton Sinclair, a socialist author who used the novel to highlight what he thought were the injustices of the Chicago meat industry at the turn of the 20th century. Since he wrote it in 1906, socialists have used it as their clarion call for veganism and animal rights.

Nevertheless, food activism has been around for centuries. The apostle Paul mentioned such arguments in his writings. For example, in Romans 14:1-4 he warned against disputes over what foods to eat when he said:

Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.

For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.

Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.

Additionally, Paul in 1 Timothy 4:3-5 said the Holy Spirit warned him that among the false doctrines of the last days would be the “commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.” As the socialist food controllers gain steam in these last days, it will be up to faithful Christians to remind ourselves of Paul’s warnings to be aware of the real spirit behind this movement and avoid it.

  1. Soo.. How can you be an animal lover and eat dead animals? Dead a** serious question. Also, meat and dairy no doubt directly cause heart disease, not to mention an absolute plethora of other health complications & diseases, so..there’s that.

    1. They don’t cause heart disease when consumed in moderation as part of a well-balanced diet–a caveat you chose to leave out. Overeating any food is not good, meat or not. Meat has nutrients including the whole array of B vitamins and carnosine, an antioxidant that helps muscles, the heart, and the brain and aids healing.

      1. A lot of vegansbhavevdied of cancer and many other things. I lost a vegan SDA freind who suddenly got blinding glaucoma, list his ability to function and then broke a hip and then just I think pined away, being the kind of macho Man he was, couldn’t cope with helplessness. According to Ellen White this should not have happened. He was a mere 65.

    2. Doesn’t matter if I’m presenting an anecdote or not. You can’t simply say eating meat and dairy are the major cause of diseases, and yet what I’ve presented to you can also raise a concern. Like what Harry said, everything should be consumed in moderation, so that means, its also possible to eat too much vegetables. Some examples can be eating too much fiber can create stomach bloating, etc. I personally can attest to that. It doesn’t matter what we eat, but we also gotta listen to our bodies as well. If your concerned about something, it is recommended you see a doctor and nutritionist about this.

Other than that, God does not prohibit eating meat. There are so many biblical references to this. One good example is when He provided quails to the Israelite in the wilderness. You’re not sinning from eating meat.

Romans 14:3 – Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. ESV

Go ahead eat vegetables. I don’t care. Let me eat my steak… uhh… I’m drooling…

    3. I tried the vegan thing and it made my hair break off. I found out my body doesn’t get enough nutrients or digest all vegan very well. So for me is a matter of health. So my solution was to grow my own. I raise my own chickens, rabbits, turkeys, ducks and they only have one bad day. The rabbits are grouped together is a large pen, on the ground with cement covered housing, a limit waterer, the chickens have a fenced yard, at least 50bft by 30 feet, rabbits are about feet by 15 feet, chickens have my old camper to roost in, I have goats for milk and meat, and am enlarging their pasture area, working on the Alan Savory , William Albrecht ideals for growing healthy pasture. Working in large greenhouses to grow green feed in the winter.vthey do much better on live green feed. Everyone does. But did you know if I need them green feed, they can convert the k to keep in the fatty tissue, livers and eggs and milk, and I can’t? Abd Kelly is important for driving calcium to the right places ( and out of blood vessels, and soft tissue). I know natto does too, but is expensive for me to get.
Also, please look up Weston price and nutrition and physical Degeneration. These are the ideal Hunter/ gatherers, and look at much if bative american foods. Meats were an important part of their diets when they had a choice.

    1. Hi, Patrick.

I looked at the video. The guy in it basically gave his opinions without studies to back what he said. Not only that, he ignored the context of all scripture to draw his error-filled conclusions. He is basically part of the Hebrew Roots movement that seeks to make the work of what we eat as part of salvation–a false doctrine. 1 Timothy 4:3-5 and the other Pauline scriptures when taken into consideration alongside Christ’s words prove his statements as wrong.

    2. Look at Genesis 9, God let Noah out of the ark and told him now he needed to eat flesh as meat. Later as we began to learn about the incredible damage the Flood had done through the Dr Dino creation series, we realized that as the perfectly balanced created soils went through the sloshing and massive movement, we now have areas of mineral deficiency and toxicity. For example the goiter belt is iodine deficient. many areas in the great vasin are selenium and copper deficient.
And soilminerals dot com explains the main trace minerals and major minerals and what they do to help plant physiology
As man has only replaced NPK to the soils, our health has suffered, and he shows how important calcium and magnesium are to plant health and livestock health. and Joel Wallach reminds us in dead doctors don’t lie that the 60 trace minerals are also important. William Albrecht showed that magnesium deficiency causes multiple illnesses and mortality. These minerals enable plants to produce proteins and hormones and vitamins for our use, and strengthen them against insects, disease and weather stress. In the soil mineral deficient state of the Curse, God didn’t just allow us to eat meat, He declared we had to in Genesis 9. But don’t dispair. Isaiah 11 and 35 prophesies a time when Jesus will return and right the Earth and we and the predatory animals will eat straw like the ox again. I assume He changed our gut to handle the meat for now ( we have seen evidence of herbovorous crocodile teeth and skulls to back that theory they were different then) and that Jesus in His miracle making will once again remineraluze the Earth such that our vegetation will produce the proper proteins again. But that time is yet to come. In the meantime, I grow my own as much as I can. And you can too, even if you are afraid to eat eggs and milk Frome your own animals, there is dolomite, gypsum and limestone to help your plants to produce a better quality protein . They are cheap and I also advocate a good manure compost, we harvest our own too. The microbes are in there.

  2. I’m as conservative as they come but I believe in animal liberation. It isn’t simply a choice when you infringe on the choices of others. Animals possess more intelligence and cognitive reasoning then some members of our species like the severely mentally retarded. It doesn’t make sense to give these people rights but not animals. Also, I’m sick of my tax dollars going to support medical bills for fat people who got sick from eating animal products.
