President Trump, Vice President Pence urge release of US pastor jailed in Turkey

The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) and other evangelical human rights groups started asking Donald Trump shortly after he was elected to approach Turkey to ask President Erdogan to release American pastor Andrew Brunson. In the months following an attempted coup against Erdogan, Brunson–who was in Turkey strictly to carry out Christian missionary work–was arrested as part of a dragnet to crack down on anyone suspected of supporting the failed (possible false flag) coup.

It has been suspected Brunson was arrested partly because Erdogan blames the US for allowing his enemy, Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, to remain in exile in the US and partly as a cover to persecute Christians. Nevertheless, in keeping with their promised assurances to the human rights groups, both President Trump and Vice President Pence each spoke to Erdogan individually about their concerns for Brunson and urged Erdogan to have Brunson released.

In response to the President and Vice President keeping their word, ACLJ and other evangelicals such as author/Christian activist Johnnie Moore and Dr. James Dobson have commended and thanked the men for speaking to Erdogan about Brunson. His efforts to defend evangelicals and embrace other positive policies (like amicable relations with Israel) are the real reasons the Democrats and other liberals hate Trump and his administration. If it has never been clear before to the spiritual astute, it should be clear now that there are spiritual forces behind the strife being churned up every day.

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. Psalm 37:12
