At her wit’s end, the estranged wife of a vicar, whom she had been married to since 1999 and who fathered her three children, ran to a tribunal within the Church of England to tell her tales of horror and present proof. James Day, an admitted bisexual, had beaten her on several occasions.
As their marriage fell apart and his many adulterous liaisons became apparent, Birte Day began amassing a wealth of evidence to protect herself. In the end Birte had gathered four flash drives full of proof of her husband’s infidelities as he served over a congregation in the Anglican priesthood. The evidence included an array of short porn clips, including videos of him participating in orgies and gangbangs, sadomasochistic images of both men and women in bondage, sexually charged emails and texts where he corresponded with gay men and female prostitutes about his sexual encounters with them, gay porn, straight porn, and evidence that her husband had traveled to meet male prostitutes in gay bathhouses in New York, Brussels, and Italy.
When Birte confronted James about the evidence of his proclivities, he admitted to them and boasted about it to verbally abuse her and put her down as being undesirable. In light of all the evidence presented to the tribunal, they concluded it was more than enough to rule against James Day in absentia for “conduct unbecoming and inappropriate” and to immediately remove him from his office.
The source article refers to this as the priest’s “secret life” but it seems odd that someone else besides his wife did not notice something was off. Was he also abusing alcohol and/or drugs? They often are accompanied with such behavior. Then when one considers how liberal the Church of England has become toward ungodliness, it’s a wonder that more corruption like this has not been exposed. And when one considers that so many people in Christian congregations (especially men) in the West are viewing porn regularly, what types of dangers are ahead for congregations and congregants who shy away from confronting this ungodly lust in the lives of people they fellowship with?
Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Ezekiel 22:26
