Would a true Christian really murder someone?

police_creative_commons_tapeThat’s a question that should probably be addressed since Hitler made news again today thanks to ultra-liberal/non-Christian actress Whoopi Goldberg on “The View.” Since it’s a show I as a man would never waste my time watching, I found out about it through perusing headlines today. Goldberg and her co-hosts launched into a discussion about how insensitive and heartless and un-Christian it was for some Republican politicians to have the audacity to want to turn away refugees. Then Goldberg and her fellow “Jewish” ultra-liberal co-host Joy Behar set up a Christian straw man to knock Christianity. Behar’s straw man was Timothy McVeigh, who she accused of being Christian. Goldberg’s straw man was Hitler, who she accused of being Christian. They then proceeded to imply or state openly how dangerous Christians can be. So they should just let all refugees in.

Firstly, one must understand that anti-Christians like Goldberg tend to be liars and deceivers who often share falsehoods hoping that people who hear them will be too lazy to do their own research to find out if what they say is true or not when it comes to societal issues. Secondly, Hollywood types tend to be less than savvy about true history or truth in general when it comes to societal issues. Thirdly, anti-Christians are hardly the people to determine what a true Christian is. These ladies of the mainstream media have omitted one huge fact–the refugee crisis is intentionally and admittedly stirred up by an avowed atheist globalist socialist billionaire named George Soros who wishes to use the crisis to break down national borders. Not only that, but where’s the compassion for Christian refugees? Since 2011, only 2% of refugees the UK and US let in are Christian, while 96% are Muslim. Liberals discriminate without compassion as they accuse Republicans of not having compassion. What hypocrites.

But back to the topic of Christians and murder. Here’s what Jesus and his disciples said:

37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you. …39 … Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham…44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth… John 8

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these… 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21

Anyone who claims it’s okay for Christians to murder or claims Christians murder is deceived and/or a blatant liar.

  1. What about people who enlist in the armed forces for their country and end up killing in a war? Isn’t that murder?

Didn’t David commit murder in the Bible against Bathsheba’s husband? Is there a source that reveals Hitler’s religious beliefs?

    1. As far as people in the armed forces, there are situations when killing is not considered murder in God’s eyes. Here’s a link to a podcast that discusses when killing in war is justified, and not murder, according to the Bible–> Just War by John Stonestreet

As far as David is concerned, God punished him for the murder of Uriah the Hittite by putting a curse of sorts on his household (2 Sam. 12:9-14), David repented and God forgave him. He was also under Old Testament rules which possibly meant the Holy Spirit did not dwell in believers continually like he does now–meaning their relationship with God was possibly conditional (see 1 Samuel 16:14, Ezek. 18:24, 26). The New Testament brought in the unconditional relationship with God where true saints cannot fall away. However, I’ll admit that is conjecture on my part. I may be missing a better explanation.

Here’s a video done by CBN about Hitler and his religious beliefs –> God & Hitler.

  2. My husband and I saw them say exactly what you reported right before we changed the channel. They are just liberal leftist bigots. It seems so ridiculous that a religion full or murders is given preferential treatment and those who are commanded by their God and Savior to love their enemies, live humble and meek lives are considered to be dangerous. The women of the view have no wisdom. Their progressive mindset has muddled their brains. God bless you. Amen!
