Prominent evangelicals, seduced by the great whore, continue to cover for her

Nowadays it seems that Christendom has striking parallels to the secular world. In the secular world, if you wish to rise to prominence, it is almost certain that you must show allegiance to one of the Vatican’s many associations–whether it be Freemasons, Bilderberg, Skull & Bones, etc. in the political arena or the Masonic Illuminati in the entertainment industry. This disturbing trend now seems to be the modus operandi among most prominent evangelicals. They have been seduced by the great whore and are defending her in spite of the fact the Vatican has blatantly done so many things that go against the law of Christ, from the promotion and cover-up of sexual abuse of children to the promoting and defense of socialism and socialist leaders who violate God-given human rights.

This trend popped up again this week on “In the Market with Janet Parshall,” the very popular radio program heard on radio stations affiliated with Moody Bible Institute. On Monday, December 22, Mrs. Parshall had Walid Shoebat as one of her guests. He is a former Islamist who converted to evangelical Christianity many years ago. On the show, Shoebat went into a lengthy diatribe where he did all he could to misinterpret scripture to put up a smokescreen about who the great whore of Revelation really is.

Hal Lindsey explains the whore of Babylon

Shoebat basically said that all who claimed the whore is Rome were flat-out wrong and that the whore was really Saudi Arabia. He totally ignored all the clues we find about the whore of Babylon in Revelation 17, especially the huge clue that John gave at the end of that chapter. John said the whore was the great city reigning over the kings of the earth at the time he wrote Revelation. That could only be Rome. Arabia has never had that type of control. Furthermore, if Shoebat were to search hard enough, he would discover that the religion of Rome started at Babel (which became Babylon) and that the Vatican used the false prophet Mohammed to start the religion of Islam in order to bring the Arabs into the Roman Catholic fold since they resisted the Roman Catholic religion. Kirk Cameron has also been seduced by the great whore, which really came to the forefront when he defended the observance of Halloween because of its ties to the Roman Catholic All Saints’ Day and then defended on TBN (alongside an “evangelical-turned-Catholic”) the practice of honoring Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus) on Christmas because the Roman Catholic Church sainted him.

Kiss up to the Vatican, and you’ll become famous on Christian TV, in Christian publishing, the Christian music industry, and on Christian radio. I, personally, would rather be like the Bereans that Paul encountered who were more noble since they searched scripture to verify whatever doctrine they came across (Acts 17:11). It’s just not worth it to lay down with the great whore because “her house is the way to hell” (Proverbs 7:10-27). These evangelicals, who portray themselves as mature and spiritually discerning, ought to know better.
