Our world is full of so many tangled webs to deceive, it can make your head spin. This is one reason why it pays to remind ourselves as Christians that we are dead, spiritually speaking, to the corrupt ways of this world. Paul stated this eloquently in Colossians 3:1-3–
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
What is happening on the economic scene around the world orchestrated by the globalists gives us concrete examples why our focus must be on the many ways to share the gospel so God can be glorified, lost souls can be saved, and we can build on our rewards program in heaven–a rewards program, I might add, whose rules are not subject to changes based on the greedy whims of earthly men, but on God’s grace and mercy along with the godly works we do as a result of our salvation (see 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 for details).
Here are some interesting things to note about the world’s unrighteous mammon in the world economic system of late:
- Russia’s economy, which was so powerful and noteworthy several months ago, is now on the brink of failure because of the downward spiral of its ruble, caused by falling oil prices and EU sanctions. Oil which they were going to use to retaliate against Europe over Ukraine. Oil money which they were using to help Syria’s Assad. Their ruble had been so strong months ago that they were speaking out against using the U.S. dollar as a base trade currency. Interesting how things can be manipulated so quickly as the globalists push ahead. The current, sudden desperation of Russia reveals how they could one day start a war with Israel as prophesied in Ezekiel 38.
- Russia’s current dire situation was pushed along with the help of Saudi Arabia, who has refused to cut back on oil production to purposely drive down oil prices. Why? Saudi Arabia is desperately fighting against the Iran- Syria-Russia coalition since Iran’s aspirations of establishing it’s own Islamic caliphate with Iraq and Syria in tow would weaken the Saudis’ own aspirations of establishing it’s Islamic caliphate under its brand of Islam. Meanwhile, the globalists are desperately hoping some kind of caliphate will arise to help their aspirations of having the one world leader they want. They’re satisfied with Sunnis and Shias competing for the position, no matter how many have to die.
- An anti-corruption organization released very interesting info this week about the BRICS nations and other developing countries. These nations, it turns out, lead the way in draining their own economies with dirty money, black markets, and whatever illegal means they can think of. Whether it’s corruption (drugs, human trafficking, bribes, etc.), money laundering, or false trade documents, individuals desperate for power have been able to drain money from poor countries, including their own, to grow the underground economy at 9.4% per year in the new millenium up to 2012– approximately double the amount of legitimate world economic growth.
- The individuals in these nations who bilk their own people of billions with the help of the global elite may soon be rewarded for their redistribution efforts with more power for the BRICS nations in the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The IMF despises the U.S. for not getting on board with its financial reforms that would slowly push the U.S. dollar aside as its foundational currency, so now they may be looking to the BRICS to help them fast-track the dollar’s demise for the sake of an eventual one-world currency by voiding U.S. veto power within the IMF.
Nevertheless, as Christians we know Jesus has assured us that even though tribulations are guaranteed in this world, we have the greater guarantee that he has overcome the world and has made us overcomers.
