Delusions of grandeur in the “war on poverty”

With the 50th anniversary of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s “War on Poverty” this week, the news has been filled with the good, the bad, and the ugly on why it has or hasn’t worked. It’s a very noble idea to have the desire to see poverty ended altogether and to help the poor. After all, that’s what God was concerned about in both the Old and New Testaments, commanding those who worshiped him to care for the poor (Leviticus 19:9-10; Psalm 41:1; Luke 7:22; Luke 18:22; James 2:2-6). However, when the war on poverty was declared, ulterior motives were involved with President Johnson and many members of Congress at that time. I would propose that they had something in mind that would not strengthen America, but would give the ruse of wanting to.

Official poverty measurements estimate 17% of Americans were poor in 1965. In 2012, it was 15%. Between those years, poverty rates went up and down according to the recessions or booms in the economy. Right before Obama took office, it stood at 12.5%.

There are those who claim the reason why things don’t work in Washington is because they’re idiots. I believe things aren’t working because that’s how it’s designed by many in Washington. Whether they be lobbyists peddling influence, legislators, legislative staffers, Cabinet members, or Presidents, they are called upon by their puppet masters of the New World Order (NWO) secret societies and other organizations to ask “How high?” whenever their masters say “Jump!”

President Johnson was a Southern Democrat who voted against anti-lynching laws and was against legislation to curb institutionalized racism. He was also a Freemason. He was also responsible as a U.S. Senator for sponsoring the law that made churches accountable to (and registrants of) the government via the IRS as 501c3s. But when Kennedy was assassinated and Johnson became President, the game changed. He signed government welfare into law. Did he really have a change of heart, wanting to help the poor–many of whom were black? I believe he and his colleagues in Congress at the time knew a day would come when America would be a two-tiered nation with the oligarchs at the top and the rest at the bottom, per his orders from the various NWO entities.

The war on poverty was designed to fail and to imprison the poorest of the poor even if it had a few success stories in the mix to make it look good. Aside from the reasons I mentioned above, it has also failed because:

• It had so many loopholes in it that opened the door to waste, fraud, & abuse.
• It rewards recipients for bad behavior (for instance, having babies out of wedlock with no intention of marrying in spite of having kids).
• It discourages the drive to work harder and smarter.

The NWO’s claim that it wants to end poverty worldwide is a delusion of grandeur that is simply a ruse for redistributing the wealth of the working class and middle class into the pockets of the rich running the NWO while they move to make everyone outside of the top tier their dependents.

God, who knows the human heart, knew that any war on poverty would eventually fail since we tend to be self-destructive creatures. There are Christians who argue against the meaning of what Jesus said when the woman anointed him by breaking her alabaster box in Mark 14–“For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.” This wasn’t said to discourage helping the poor, but was an acknowledgement of the facts. Poor people will always be among us and this is even mentioned in Revelation at the future time when Antichrist and his false prophet are in power (see Revelation 13:6 where both rich and poor will take the 666).
