UK’s socialized healthcare failures should be a lesson to the U.S.

Great Britain has for years boasted of the successes of its socialized healthcare system, but cracks are becoming obvious in their government-controlled system. Not only has it been a contributing factor to their recent recession, but how they treat the elderly is coming under scrutiny.

One of the main reasons stated for implementing the system was to keep rising healthcare costs under control. But that goal is quickly slipping away. The population of the elderly is increasing at a faster pace than was anticipated in the past and the British government is admitting that they won’t be able to use government funds to artificially keep a cap on the costs for elder care. This means that the elderly will have to shell out more of their own money and/or rely on funds from friends and family to take care of them.

Ultimately, more people will see their savings dwindle and the retirement age may have to be raised. These challenges are leading to another problem. The elderly are now being pushed off the cliff when it comes to them approaching the end of their lives. The National Health Service (NHS) which runs healthcare has been paying hospitals to place the elderly on a “pathway” to death. Essentially, it’s a financial incentive to get hospitals to make the elderly who are terminally ill die faster. However, there are reports that some patients could in fact survive longer if they receive proper nutrition, hydration, or meds. The “pathway” hints that they should be deprived of such things.

Basically, the elderly are being euthanized. Although officials are swearing up and down these patients are treated with dignity, the methods being used have called that so-called dignity into question. Healthcare is being rationed.

This is proof that whenever socialism is implemented, the promotion of death automatically comes with it. Oddly enough, this generation of seniors is the same generation that pushed for and promoted killing unborn babies, diminishing the importance of the lives of pre-borns. Now they are reaping what they’ve sown with the value of their own lives being diminished.

Many of the laws and regulations governing UK’s system are in Obamacare in the U.S. When and if the Affordable Care Act is fully implemented, the U.S. government will discover that such a system is financially unsustainable, just like the UK government has.  The U.S. will be facing the same problems Britain is facing now. But what no one is admitting to publicly is that socialized healthcare was purposely constructed to bring about these “end of life” situations to decrease the world population for the sake of the NWO. The NWO feels that abortion and euthanasia and killing people by other means is for the greater good. Many of those who don’t have a relationship with the Lord Jesus are willing to accept the “new normal” but fail to realize that this “new normal” and apathy can end up threatening them also.

Thou shalt rise up before the hoary [gray] head, and honour the face of the old man, and fear thy God: I am the Lord. Leviticus 19:32

They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. Proverbs 1:30-32
