This past weekend on Saturday, Dr. Robert Heavin was busy working on his Indiana farm trying to clear some debris away using his tractor. In the process of doing so, he lost control of the tractor as it picked up speed on its own going downhill. As he tried to jump off, his foot got caught and the tractor flipped several times with him attached before it came to rest right on top of him.
He was pinned for 16 hours before one of his sons discovered him after being concerned when he didn’t show up for early morning church service. Firefighters were then called and after getting him free of the tractor, he was rushed to the hospital, but only suffered two broken ribs and a few bruises. The first responders said he definitely should have been killed based on the severity of the accident. Heavin believes it was nothing short of a miracle from God that he was spared. During that 16 hours, he said he got to talk to the Lord for a long time.
What a mighty God we serve!
The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. Psalm 34:7
