This past October a University of Arizona  student was involved in a five car accident in Tucson that took the lives of his roommate and another friend. He suffered severe head trauma and was in a coma. His injuries were so severe that doctors thought he wouldn’t recover. At the moment they were about to shut off life support, the patient, Sam Schmid woke up from his coma and flashed two fingers to the doctors. His mother, Susan Regan, believes this is nothing short of God giving them a “Christmas miracle.” She says she even has atheist friends telling her that this miracle has inspired them to start attending church. Schmid, who is now in a wheelchair, is expected to make a full recovery.
